Building Better Lives, Inspiring Hope For Tomorrow

Individual Therapy

What states do you provide services in?

We are currently in four states: Pennsylvania, Delaware, New Jersey, New Hampshire, and Ohio.

About how many sessions will I need?

This cannot be determined without meeting you and understanding your needs. An average of 10 to 12 sessions is considered standard for short-term therapy. As to whether or not you will require ongoing treatment, this will vary according to a number of factors. Only time will tell how well you will respond to treatment interventions.

Will sessions be virtual or face-to-face?

We provide a hybrid model. Typically, sessions are done via tele-health, but you will have the option of meeting face-to-face with your therapist after you have established a relationship with them, and you reside in the same state as their primary location.

Family Therapy

Is the whole family being blamed for one person's problem?

Family therapists do not blame the family for a member’s problems. Rather, each family member is valued as a key element in solving the presenting problem that one of their relatives is experiencing. In family therapy, problems are seen as “circular,” not “linear.” From a linear view, a problem between two people has a distinct cause that can be traced from one person to another. From a circular view, a problem between two people is seen as the result of the interaction of those two people with each one contributing equally to the problem and neither one as the primary cause of the problem. From their circular perspective, family therapists look equally at all family members as having a role in changing their part in the behaviors that contribute to the problem.

Couples Therapy

Does insurance cover Couples Therapy?

Couples therapy is not covered under your insurance. It is an out of pocket expense. However some EAP (Employee Assistance Programs) will cover the cost of Marriage Counseling. Check with you plan to see if it is covered.

Will I need to attend therapy without my spouse?

There may be a few sessions required where you and your spouse will meet with the therapist individually.  This is necessary, so as to get your individual perspectives without the interruption of fear of your partner misunderstanding what you are sharing. If it is determined that either or both of you could benefit from ongoing individual therapy, a recommendation for further treatment will be made.

Group Therapy

How many people will be a part of my group?

Groups can range anywhere from 6-10 people comfortably.  We will never have a group larger than 10 members at one time.

How long are the groups?

We offer psycho-education groups that have a predetermined set of weeks.  Number of weeks are based on the group that you attend.
